Cisco Webex Teams: PSTN

PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) was Webex Teams' dial-in fallback, the way people joined meetings by phone when their internet couldn't carry video. A simple feature on the surface, with one of the more complex permission systems in the product underneath. Who could dial in depended on the intersection of their user profile and the meeting type they were trying to join.

I designed the experience across iOS, Android, web, and desktop, along with the email templates that routed the right dial-in details to the right users. From the user's side, joining by phone needed to feel like one decision. From the system's side, it was many.
